I’ve been playing this week with an old lens that I hadn’t used for a long while, my 90mm Tamron with a Pentax mount, using a converter to attach it to my Fuji X-E3. Set at a wide aperture this lens blurs backgrounds magnificently. It’s also a great macro lens. On the Fuji, however, there is no electronic connection, so focusing is manual.
These birds, on the front deck of my house, sat still enough, or walked slowly enough, that I could get sharp focus. At first they seemed not to mind the attention that my camera and I were paying them. Then they started chirping at me. Here are my favorites.
