Candle Light

Candle Light
Fuji X-E1, f/4, 1/30 sec., ISO-4000, 90mm (26 February 2014)

Another cold, winter week, so I looked for photos to take indoors. I’ve always liked this candle holder. I thought an image with the short stub of a candle in it might look interesting. With the low light in the room, it does look pretty evocative.Ear in High Key

The other picture that I liked this week is one of my wife’s ear. It’s a haphazard attempt at a glamor shot. I took it while we were sitting on the couch, using a macro lens, deliberately over-exposing it. In Lightroom I upped the exposure a bit more and played with the color palette and light to get the right mood.
