I thought I might spend a few weeks, perhaps more, photographing old (or, if you prefer, “historic”) houses in small towns. This glorious old wreck is in Hastings, Michigan, about 40 minutes southeast of Grand Rapids. The town has a lot of pretty Victorian-era homes, some in good repair, others beat up. I wonder if they date to the heyday the logging era in the town, as in many Michigan towns.
